The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bataan recently launched a P939,500 worth of Shared Service Facility (SSF) on coffee processing in Orion, Bataan.
DTI reported a total of eight equipment were turned over to Bilolo Upland Farmers Association Inc. (BUFAI) including one coffee bean roaster and cooling machine, one dehulling machine, one grinding machine, one horizontal/vertical band sealer, two working tables, one digital weighing scale, and one multi-commodity solar tunnel dryer.
BUFAI Chairperson Rodolfo Sanggalang said the intervention of the government through the SSF program of DTI is a dream come true for their group as it will help them raise the standard of their living.
For her part, DTI Provincial Director Nelin Cabahug said this equipment will help the association’s productivity and improve the quality of their products as well as their livelihood.
Relative to this, the agency conducted skills training and seminar on costing and pricing for BUFAI members.
SSF is a flagship project of DTI that aims to improve the productivity and efficiency of micro, small and medium enterprises through better access to technology.
